Last week Siemens launched our new Disability Network AMBITION! The aim of the network is to build greater awareness of disability (both visible and non-visible) and to give individuals who have a disability or long-term condition the confidence to be themselves at work and to create an adaptable, supportive work environment. To celebrate the launch of the network we invited Yasmin Sheikh - TEDx Speaker, Diversity Trainer and coach to share her story with us.
This Thursday, to mark International Day of People with Disabilities we will celebrate the contribution of 386m disabled people worldwide by taking part in Purple Lightup 2020 and hosting a panel discussion with Yasmin and some of our employees who have experience of disability.
As Co-Founder of AMBITION, I am really pleased with the engagement we have received from employees since the launch and excited to see what's next.
