Inclusion at the Business Development and Communications Annual Meeting

It was a real privilege to undertake an inclusion activity at the Business Development and Communications annual meeting this week in the form of a modified privilege walk.
We asked some tough questions such as being right handed, being able to find a band-aid in your skin colour, being a white male etc.
Becoming aware of our own privilege is one of the most powerful things we can do.
We covered insights into the ways society privileges some individuals over others so we can be conscious of the power we have to ally with and support others without the same privilege and we finished the activity with an Allyship pledge - Be a Mentor / Coach, Be a Sponsor, Be an Amplifier, Be an Advocate, Be a Scholar. #AllyshipInAction.
Really appreciate the thought provoking insights given and how engaged everyone was!
By recognising our privilege, we help create an environment where nobody has to waste energy on hiding who they are and we all thrive together!
