The RTPI celebrated International Women’s Day with a special networking event in London jointly hosted with Women in Planning.
Nearly 80 people from across the country attended a Q&A and drinks reception, including a student who travelled from Glasgow, for what was the RTPI’s first in-person event since the pandemic.
Jennie Daly, incoming CEO of Taylor Wimpey plc, gave some inspiring advice during a Q&A session, which was expertly chaired by leading barrister Hashi Mohamed.
Other notable attendees included England’s chief planner Joanna Averley and Ransford Steward, who was recently named in the New Year’s Honours List.
Machel Bogues, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Manager at the RTPI said: "It was great to see so many people from a range of backgrounds and different stages of their career. The theme of International Women's Day is breaking the bias and if we are to do that it will require all of to work together."
Thanks go to No 5 Barristers for sponsoring the event.
