On Thursday I attended a brilliant Autism event hosted by PwC in their London office. Nicola Roche from Siemens spoke so eloquently about her journey to making Siemens a more Autism Friendly employer. Her story was powerful but is also an example to us all of what good leadership and togetherness looks like. The world of employment needs more leaders like her.
I must also mention Juergen Maier CBE for demonstrating the willingness and desire to open Siemens up to innovation and new ways of thinking. Your transformational leadership has undoubtedly made a difference!
This event showed me that as organisations we need to look beyond the emotive cause that autism is sometimes seen as and look at the many positive business benefits that exist in employing those on the spectrum. Organisations failing to tap into this hidden pool of talent risk falling behind in our fast evolving workplaces. #differentlyabled #daretobedifferent #autism
