Pride Community at Aviva

As Pride month comes to an end, we just wanted to thank our brilliant Pride Community for all the amazing events they ran (no pun intended!) in June.
Not only have they been fundraising as part of #RunWithPride, organised by EPIC Norfolk, but our colleagues have also hosted events across the UK to help celebrate and teach our people more about Pride. We were joined by Rudy Rigg for a Rainbow History Lesson learning about gay pirates (take a look at the Wikipedia page about ‘matelotage’s) and accidental activism involving the Wizard of Oz and the military. We heard from Pride without Borders, a support group for Bristol-based LGBTQ+ people seeking asylum and those with refugee status. And we’ve heard reflections from our people about what Pride means to them.
