New App which helps blind people 'see'

New App which helps blind people 'see'

CHECKING prices on clothes tags or attempting to walk through a busy city centre are easy tasks for people with full vision.

But, for the blind or shortsighted, these small jobs can become almost impossible.

This is why a visually impaired developer from Denmark has launched the Be My Eyes app.

The pioneering technology connects blind people to a sighted volunteer using a live video chat.

The volunteer can then see the blind person’s surroundings using a phone’s camera to help them with their everyday tasks.

The free app is being billed as the technology that can help the blind "see" with their iPhone.

The Be My Eyes App enables the able bodied to assist people with visual impairments in real time...how cool is that!
