We are always thinking of new ways to unite culture, talent and potential to enable travel across the nation. The Mayor’s Fund for London and the Joseph Rowntree Foundation has been working with like-minded organisations to support people from diverse backgrounds into the transport industry.
On 17/11/17, at the “mind the diversity gap” event, our Diversity & Inclusion Director shared some insights into how we supported young people from diverse backgrounds into exciting careers in the transport industry.
The event saw the launch of the ‘Transforming Transport' pledge, a set of commitments based on good practice to inspire and encourage other employers to support diversity. There are exciting times ahead in the transport industry as we collaborate to diversify our workforce and transform the industry.
