Day two of disability week: we had such a great start Monday! We were in Waterloo station to mark it’s 170th anniversary along with the 70th anniversary of the Paralympics with WheelPower.
We celebrated disability confidence with wheel power where their team of incredible athletes raised awareness through the medium of sport. Our team were so excited to be in waterloo yesterday with more activities to inspire disability confidence.
Lucy Cashin, Co-chair of CanDo gives her perspective on disability week so far:
“It's been so fantastic! The athletes are so incredible and really interactive. I'm excited that I get to go back tomorrow for a second day of it all. Thanks so much to my fellow CanDo leadership team colleagues who helped today. It was great that we also had visits from Sir Peter Hendy, the mayor and deputy mayor of Lambeth, the TFL disabled employee network as well as three colleagues from the FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) disabled employee network too.”
