Law firm Eversheds today has announced that Michelle T Davies, Head of Eversheds' clean energy and sustainability team, has been named in the Top 100 Power People In Wind 2014 for the third year running. Michelle is the highest ranked lawyer to make the list – and is one of just two that appear in this year’s ranking.
The Top 100 Power People 2014 is a definitive annual list of key industry figures working in the wind industry. It is published by wind industry intelligence, networking and consultancy service, A Word About Wind. The unique independent report measures the individual influence of key players in the wind energy sector, charting their impact on the industry over the past year. Each candidate was assessed, rated and ranked by an impartial senior advisory board.
As the global wind energy industry grows and becomes more competitive, this year’s table has a more international flavour than ever before. The industry continues to be dominated by professionals in the established markets of Europe, North America and Asia. However, there have been new entrants who are focused on vital emerging markets, from Chile and South Africa to Saudi Arabia and Thailand.
Michelle T Davies said:
“The wind industry is one of rapid growth and change, and is making huge advances. At Eversheds we advise a number of clients on wind energy projects, and support their businesses to achieve on their renewable energy strategies. While I am honoured to be recognised in the Top 100 Power People In Wind, this is really an achievement for the continued hard work and commitment of everyone in the Eversheds Clean Energy and Sustainability Group.”
Adam Barber, Publisher, A Word About Wind said:
“As the wind industry goes global – and moves out of established economies – its imperative that those working within it can quickly track and understand exactly where industry influence really resides. Now in its third edition, The Top 100 Power People includes 44 new entrants and more international representation than ever before. It provides a clear and objective market assessment and we congratulate Michelle on her third consecutive appearance.”
