Colin Naish - Executive Director at Quenn Elizabeth Olympic Park
At LLDC, we take our responsibility for the health and safety of everyone using Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park very seriously. This includes working with contractors during construction to ensure best practice, and the safety of everyone who works, lives in and visits the Park.
Speaking on our health and safety record, Executive Director of Construction Colin Naish said:
“Here at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, safety has always been our number one priority. The London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games were the safest Olympics ever in terms of facilities construction and we’re continuing that success by embedding a strong safety culture in all of our projects.
Since the Games, we’ve been working with Mace to transform the Park and its venues; using safety leadership teams, common & visual standards, workforce engagement, safety tours and integration of behavioural safety to ensure that safety is always at the heart of our construction work.
Our next big project is East Bank, the country’s new culture and education powerhouse and we’re proud that Stratford Waterfront – one of our East Bank sites – is the first Considerate Constructors Scheme Ultra Site for Mace".
