Learning at Work Week: Shaping our Future
Each year we have a focus on Learning at work and dedicate a whole week to this. The theme for this year’s Learning at Work Week (LAWW) is Shaping our Future. We are having a career development panel discussion and Q&A session held in our London office. This will be screened in each office, and is available as a skype meeting for home workers to attend.
Career development panel
The purpose of the career development panel is to demonstrate some of the interesting career journeys that our staff and non-executive directors have taken. It will also show that there are numerous routes that people can choose to get to their goals.
Each panel member will introduce themselves and talk about their career journey to date and their plans for the future, after which there will then be a Q&A session. One of our panel this year is an apprentice who is sharing her learning journey through the IOPC
Hannah Hebouche Hannah has worked for the IOPC for nearly two years, starting in the ISU as a Business Admin Apprentice. Since joining the organisation she has always interested in her personal development and undertaking training that could benefit her not only in her current role but for future roles. Hannah then took a sidestep in her career and joined the HR team as a Trainee HR Coordinator and is currently completing an apprenticeship in HR. Many people have asked her, why move somewhere else for the same salary? But she has a long-term goal in mind and knew this was the career path she wanted to follow.
