Welcome to VERCIDA website.
Skip to main contentITV has kicked off 2017 with a number of events in January and February to support their diversity and inclusion agenda.
On Wednesday 1st February, over 60 colleagues attended ITV’s End the Awkward: Demystifying Disability event (in partnership with Scope). Hosted by ITV Meridian presenter Sangeeta Bhabra, colleagues were welcomed by CEO Adam Crozier and heard from Maltesers ad star Samantha Renke, Coronation Street actress Cherylee Houston and Disability Consultant Graeme Whippy. With the help of table discussions hosted by Mind, Signpost, Mencap, Scope, Guide Dogs and Microlink the event aimed to get colleagues talking about disability, dispel myths and pledge action. Group HR Director David Osborn closed the event encouraging colleagues to come forward and get involved as ITV continues its journey to support disability.
ITV’s Women’s Network has also started the year with a bang. Following its launch in July last year with event The Truth About...Women at Work, ITV’s Women’s Network hosted another event on 30 January, The Truth about... Knowing your worth. Over 200 colleagues heard from presenter Anne Robinson about her experience of working in the industry. Then Anna Barez-Brown and Caroline Whaley from Shine4Women also inspired colleagues with an introduction to their workshop that focuses on career progression managing your inner critic and setting goals for success.
Hot on the heels of ITV’s Feel Good - Boost your Energy event on 26th January, colleagues came along to The Art of Positivity workshop on 14th February, run by Anna Lempriere, The Conscious Coach and Tara Ellis, Laughter Yoga specialist. The short session equipped delegates with three coaching techniques to help colleagues day-to-day in both their work and personal lives. Colleagues also had the opportunity to experience laughter yoga ... what's not to love on Valentine’s Day!
