Your ITV Experience Programme 14-17 years

This is a week-long programme, providing work experience and motivating future talent. It is an opportunity to spend time with the ITV teams and experience specially designed sessions to help you produce the highest quality CV, create your ‘personal brand’ and learn how to interview like a professional. Apprenticeship Programme 16- 23 years

This award-winning programme is open to school and college leavers aged 16- 23 years without a degree. The ITV Apprenticeship programme is a great opportunity to earn a competitive apprentice salary whilst learning and many former apprentices have gone on to secure great roles within ITV. You will gain a nationally-recognised qualification and valuable hands-on experience from industry experts. Opportunities open each June for a September start, offering different apprenticeships at various ITV sites each year.

ITV News Traineeship 18 years +

This paid nine-month programme is open to anyone over 18 years old who are passionate about a career in journalism. This is an exciting opportunity to be based in one of ITV’s newsrooms and work alongside experienced and talented multi-platform journalists who will teach you the basics of TV and online journalism. This hands-on experience is combined with classroom based learning to guarantee you are equipped with the fundamental skills to build a career in broadcast news. This programme is advertised either January or February each year and usually starts in August. A very high percentage of those who graduate from the programme have gone on to secure permanent jobs with both ITV News and ITV more widely.

ITV Insight Programme 18 years +

ITV’s programme for all work experience opportunities with applications open four times a year in January, April, July and October. This programme is a great way for people looking to learn more about a career in TV to experience working behind the scenes. The programme offers exclusive membership to the ITV Insight Pool, meaning priority access to any Insight placements that become available across the business. You are invited to join the ITV Insight LinkedIn group, a members-only community where you can hear about ITV opportunities and read about other members’ experiences. Along with the experience and contacts the voluntary placements provide you with, you are able to apply for paid roles, offered exclusively to ITV’s Insight members.
