International Women’s Day in the MOD

Here in the MOD, we recognise International Women's Day (March 8) as a day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women's equality. This year’s theme is #BreakTheBias.
We are passionate about helping women to achieve their potential, mentoring other women, formally and informally to help them to overcome challenges and thrive within Defence. We have established a number of Women’s Networks across the Department to provide support and make sure that this organisation is a place that enables women to have purposeful roles in Defence and that they can build rewarding and fulfilling careers.
The Defence Women’s Network are hosting a number of sessions to support International Women’s Day covering a range of topics that are being hosted across the month of March. Some of sessions are highlighted below: -

- How Integrity and Resilience Underpins Leadership
- The Future of Women in Technology
