Q. How did you find out about the media industry and what attracted you to work in it?

I just stumbled across the media industry as I always thought I was going to go into banking but after a year in industry at an investment bank I knew I wanted something that was a bit more creative in thinking and people facing.

Q. What do you like about working at your agency and being part of the OMG, UK family?

I started off my media life at OMD and realised I wanted to come back to an OMG company due to the people first attitude and culture of play hard and work hard. Being as collaborative as possible is always something MG OMD strives for and that is what makes for the best outcomes.

Q. What is your take on what is being done to drive diversity in the media industry and across OMG, UK?

I think we are starting a long journey in order to improve this but the momentum is there! I think OMG and MG OMD specifically are committed to getting better, we are doing better at attracting a broader talent set in certain minority groups vs others

Q. You are part of the OMG, UK Disability Advisory Board, why is this important to you?

I have dyslexia and have never really disclosed this information at work until at MG OMD, I think it is really important that people feel comfortable at disclosing any disability and in order to do that we need to educate the entire agency and give support to managers in order to understand what they can do.

Q. What would you say to yourself if you were starting out in media knowing what you know now?

There are so many roles and companies in the media industry, you will find a place that best suits you and plays to your strengths. Media is constantly evolving so you will always be learning meaning it is a place whereby you can bring new things to the table. The beauty at OMG is that if you give your best and are a team player they will support you in moves and finding the right role for you.
