Gender Gap makes headlines across Continents

Diversity. There's hardly a topic that's more multi-faceted, particularly when you consider its standing as a major global issue.

As those of you who work in diversity will know, each strand deserves attention; and each region requires a specific approach.

As the Founder and CEO of a global diversity software company, I'm committed to supporting the excellent work undertaken by diversity-focused non-profits all around the world. We're fortunate to work with organisations in several different regions, across a number of strands of diversity, all run by passionate people who work tirelessly towards their cause.

An important part of supporting these organisations is taking time to celebrate their success. So when I was presented with the opportunity to support two organisations major annual events on the same night, I found it impossible to say no. Instead, I chose to celebrate successes in two different strands of diversity, in two different cities!

On 7 November, Gender Gap will be the headline sponsor for two amazing events in the field of diversity - halfway around the world from each other:

The Women's Foundation in Hong Kong work to support and develop women and girls in Hong Kong. Their programmes touch the lives of every group in the community. And their annual Gala Dinner both celebrates the achievements that the Foundation and society have made, as well as encouraging Hong Kongs leading lights to continue to raise the bar and advance the cause.

I'm delighted that Gender Gap is the headline sponsor for the 2013 Gala Dinner, and look forward to addressing the crowd and sharing what inspired me to create Gender Gap.

On the same night, albeit a 12-hour flight away, Stonewall will celebrate the achievements and support for LGB people at their annual Awards. Their nearly 25 years of work has had a significant impact on the way that LGB people are treated, both in the UK and beyond.

I am equally delighted that Gender Gap is the headline sponsor for the 2013 Awards, and very much look forward to congratulating both nominees and winners on their achievements.
