We are delighted to be supporting Mental Health Foundation as our chosen Charity of the Year 2019.

We have a range of activity planned across the company, which we aim will involve all colleagues at some point. This includes fundraising, volunteering and a corporate donation to help the charity towards its aim for a world where everyone can lead mentally healthier lives.

Money raised will support the Foundation’s vital work on prevention in mental health - helping people to thrive through understanding, protecting and sustaining their mental health at every stage in life.

Mark Rowland, Chief Executive at the Mental Health Foundation said:

"We’re delighted that GatenbySanderson has chosen us as their charity of the year. The support we receive from corporate fundraising helps us reach more people through activities like the Peer Education Programme, which teaches year twelve students to teach year seven students about mental health. Support like this also helps us reach the public with our prevention message – for example during Mental Health Awareness Week in May, which this year will focus on body image.

We’ve been working on mental health in the workplace for over 20 years, and recruitment and talent development is a key area for any business looking to address mental health. We’re excited to explore opportunities to work with GatenbySanderson to further develop our work in this regard".

Kevin Gordon, Chief Executive at GatenbySanderson, said:

"Supporting mental health within the workplace and creating a more diverse workforce can only lead to improved performance and greater organisational wellbeing. I feel that there is a perfect fit between the aims of the Mental Health Foundation and our broader purpose to shape a better society.

We are committed to ensuring that all GS colleagues have a positive experience at work and benefit from positive mental health. We will be working directly with the Mental Health Foundation to achieve this goal".
