FCA Win Employer of the Year at the Women in Finance Awards
On the 27th June 2018, the FCA was the joint winner of the Employer of the Year Award at the Women in Finance Awards with RBS. Mhairi Jackson and Julia Hogget were honoured to attend the ceremony on the FCA’s behalf.
The award came following the FCA submission which highlighted our ‘Building an Inclusive Culture’ campaign and the Positive Action Framework, the establishment of our gender targets and the existing representation of women on our Board, Executive Committee, Senior Leadership Team and Manager population. The inclusive culture engagement sessions, Senior Leadership Team role modelling, changes to our recruitment processes, mentoring programmes, our support for parents and carers and the tireless work of the Network Groups was also called out.
In the context of the FCA being increasingly front-footed with the firms and people we regulate regarding the importance of diversity and inclusion, this award could not come at the better time to further bolster our credentials in this space and to bolster our recruitment efforts towards our targets.
