Due to the scarcity of women in STEM career streams, organisations set their sights on helping the women who have selected to get into the tech industry. The women have entered this particular industry with goals of succeeding in the domains of innovation, leadership, collaboration, transformation, and creativity.

Exhibiting the effect of women in the technology community, many Experian women were recently honoured at the Advancing Women in Technology (AWT) organisation’s
16th Annual Scholarship event.
Jennifer Leuer, president of partner solutions at Experian, was the designated keynote speaker at the event. She communicated the importance of helping women advance by creating a confident culture, to those in attendance.
Leuer expressed that the current year’s headlines signified milestones for conditions of women within workplaces. She proceeded with stating the necessity of maintaining pace of a confident culture within workplaces, families and communities.
According to her, mentoring is one of the numerous methods that can be incorporated. By supporting women and offering different perspectives to them, they could be assisted in being confident in the face of adversities.
AWT 2017 Award for Outstanding Executives in Technology
Faith Gaudino, senior vice president of corporate project management, Experian, was the recipient of the award for Outstanding Executives in Technology. It was a recognition awarded on the merit of her successful technology career.
Gaudino has participated in various key portfolios of technology, for a period close to nearly 40 years. She has contributed to the optimisation of Experian’s technology, business transformation, security, and business expansion investments.
Gaudino stated that she is grateful for being able to participate in a diverse range of projects, due to her position. Her team takes a hands-on approach in several aspects, from introducing cutting-edge technology on an organisational level. She expressed that such diversity creates opportunities for her to acquire new knowledge consistently. Gaudino hopes to be an inspiration to numerous other women, who are keen on creating and continuing with technology careers.
AWT 2017 Award for Rising Women in Technology
The award of Rising Women in Technology acknowledges those who have been successful in establishing their careers while being in technical designations of engineering, business analytics, management and software domains.
The five Experian women who received this award were -
Becky Clay, manager of marketing automation campaign – Her responsibilities include boosting rates of responses and conversions for the company’s campaigns for in-house communications and enterprise marketing.
Thy Phan, senior marketing analyst – Phan deals with B2B business email marketing throughout Experian’s enterprise.
Amber Garcia, project manager expert – She manages technical projects for the mobile credit and online products of Experian.
Anjali Pipriya, software development expert – Her role involves the development and maintenance of lead capturing platform of Experian.
Sirisha Koduri, web development lead – She leads development of the global content management system of Experian.
Garcia, one of the recipients, stated that in the current technology industry, women have ample opportunities for expression and attaining success. She expressed that her ongoing employment at Experian has helped her find her voice, and gain significant confidence regarding work. Garcia acknowledged the award as a turning point for her careers progress.
Experian is proactive in applying effort towards creating a workforce that is diverse. They are one of the 28 companies belonging to the Leadership Index. It is a collective where women technologists are represented and developed adequately. The organisation also participated in the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Technology Conference, and the 2017 Wonder Women Tech Diversity & Inclusion Conference.
