Meet Anita Camilleri. She's worked at Capita for 24 years. Today we want to shine a spotlight on the amazing work she's done to encourage women into STEM careers.
"I have always felt strongly about ensuring women are represented within the workplace, so I developed a STEM outreach programme to increase the number of women applying to join Capita.
"I have set up apprentice and graduate hubs across Capita in the UK, and encouraged young people to become trained STEM ambassadors. Together they host a number of initiatives, including ‘Girls in STEM’ and WISE (Women in Science and Engineering)."
Anita's events have proved a huge success. 74% of female students said they've gained a better understanding that #careers within STEM can be for women, just as much as men.
Thank you Anita for developing our younger generation to become future leaders.
