Our Computer Science department is thrilled to announce the appointment of Professor Sue Black, OBE, Computer Scientist and Social Entrepreneur, who is set to inspire a new generation of computer scientists.

A champion for women in computing, Sue has founded BCSWomen  - the UK’s first online network for women in tech, which has been supporting hundreds of women in computer science for over 20 years. As the University expands, a large number of new faces have been appointed across all departments, bringing in diverse, international research and teaching talent.
