The Department for Transport (DfT) is recruiting for up to 4 Non-Executive Board members to join their management team.
Non-Executive board members provide DfT with strategic advice, support and challenge. They also attend departmental board meetings and meet with the management team.
We want DfT to be a great place to work; an organisation proud of doing things well, supporting its people to build their skills, recognising their contribution and creating an environment in which talent thrives.
Chris Grayling, Secretary of State of the Department for Transport said:
“These roles offer an exciting opportunity to continue to set the strategic direction of the Department for Transport (DfT) and to ensure effective delivery of a comprehensive transport strategy. So if you are excited and challenged by the idea of working with me and my Board colleagues to ensure that the DfT delivers effectively, and thereby provides our customers and stakeholders with the transport service they need, then I look forward to hearing from you and wish you the very best of luck with your application.”
The DfT Board is chaired by the Secretary of State and comprises the Minister of State; the Parliamentary Under Secretaries of State; the Non-Executive Board members; the Permanent Secretary and the Department’s Directors General.
It’s a 3 year appointment with the possibility of re-appointment and is based in central London at DfT’s head office at Great Minster House.
