Devon and Cornwall Housing Group (DCH) is proud to announce that its fantastic skydiving employees have raised over £5000 for UK charity, Shelter.
An amazing thirteen members of staff launched themselves out of a plane to raise money for Shelter, DCH's charity of the year. Our skydivers successfully raised £5,381.82 for this great charity.
Shelter is a UK based charity which helps millions of people every year who are struggling with bad housing or homelessness. They provide support, advice and legal services with the aim to make sure that one day, no one will have to fight bad housing or homelessness by themselves.
Caroline Blockley, People Adviser said “It was such an amazing experience and I’m really proud of how much the team have raised for Shelter, well done everyone!”
Laura Memmott, Apprentice Finance Assistant said “I’m so proud of all of us and the amount of money we have raised!”
Clare Bromley, Learning and Organisational Development Administrator said “I was really impressed at how brave we all were and how much everyone helped us raise for Shelter. Thank you to everyone who supported us and sponsored our challenge.”
Devon and Cornwall Housing Group (DCH) is one of the biggest social businesses in the Devon, Cornwall and Somerset area, providing more than 22,882 homes for people who need them most. They manage these homes in order to support those who live there, and invest in their communities, so that they can offer great places to live today, and for the future.
They build new, affordable properties to help meet the need across the Devon, Cornwall and Somerset region. They also build houses for outright sale and re-invest profits back into new housing supply for those in greatest need.
