The recruitment industry's only disability awards, RIDI Awards are back for a third year! Run by the Recruitment Industry Disability Initiative (RIDI), the awards are designed to celebrate progress and recognise the success of organisations that are making headway in increasing the inclusion of disabled people.
Nearly 7 million people of working age in the UK have a disability but only 46% of those people are currently in employment. That means organisations are missing out on the skills and experience of this diverse talent pool.
This year’s awards takes place on 3rd November and organisations are encouraged to enter and inspire others by sharing their success stories. There are nine categories to enter this year, including new category ‘Getting started’ which looks for the little steps employers or recruiters have taken to adopt a more inclusive strategy.
The numerous categories allow various people and organisations to submit an entry including ‘Employers choice’ where employers can nominate a recruitment agency/partner they’ve worked with, highlighting the contribution they’ve made. Or there’s the ‘Individual choice’ category which allows disabled jobseekers put forward a recruitment company that have gone the extra mile in giving them a great candidate experience. With so many categories to choose from, it couldn’t be easier to enter!
