As we approach the end of Mental Health Awareness Week, we hope that all our colleagues have been able to attend the virtual events offered, listen to the latest Mental Health podcast and find some time to reflect on their own mental health.
Listen to our latest Mental Health podcast:
Although there has been a focus on the topic this week, mental health remains a key part of our approach to employee well-being, and we will continue to offer support through existing channels, as well as announcing a series of training sessions with the leading mental health charities Mind and ReThink. From MH101 sessions to more in-depth sessions on topics including Stigma Reduction & Cultural Change, Psychosis & Associated Conditions and Transitioning to new ways of working, the sessions will be open to all employees who have an interest in mental health.
We would like to end this week by announcing our sign up to The Mental Health at Work Commitment, our opportunity to publicly declare that the mental well-being of our employees is a priority for us. Established following an independent report commissioned by the UK Government, which outlined how employers can better support all employees' mental health, commitment is based around six Thriving At Work standards.
Each Standard has more detailed guidelines for reference, but already we can state with confidence that we are meeting each of the standards, Future efforts in the mental health space will align to these standards.
