C&I has been named as a Disability Confident Employer Level 2, demonstrating our commitment to championing equality and to support colleagues living with disabilities.
Disability Confidentis a government scheme designed to encourage employers to recruit and retain disabled people and those with health conditions.
Part of the rationale for the Disability Confident scheme includes the desire to halve the disability employment gap by mobilising employers to retain or recruit disabled people.
Through signing up to Disability Confident, we are helping to:
Challenge attitudes towards disability
Increase understanding of disability
Remove barriers to disabled people and those with long-term health conditions
Ensure that disabled people have the opportunities to fulfil their potential and realise their aspirations
By being Disability Confident, C&I are continuing our work to help positively change attitudes, behaviours and cultures - to champion equality. For further information please contact our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Lead [email protected]
