Cabinet Office Spreads Awareness on Mental Health
On 10th October, Cabinet Office marked World Mental Health Day, providing colleagues with an opportunity to speak openly and frankly with each other about mental health.
Here’s what Charlie Edwards, Cabinet Office Senior Health and Wellbeing Champion had to say:
According to leading mental health charity, MIND, at least one in six workers experience common mental health problems, including anxiety and depression.
I am committed to supporting the Cabinet Office in continuing to establish a culture that promotes health and wellbeing for each and every colleague and to ensure that the management of our mental health is a part of our daily routine.
The shame and silence that surrounds mental health can be as detrimental as the problem itself. Our attitude towards mental health could change someone’s life and it could change our own.
