BNY Mellon Awarded Gold Standard at the 2021 Hong Kong LGBT+ Inclusion Index for the Third Consecutive Time.

BNY Mellon was awarded the Gold Standard in the 2021 Hong Kong LGBT+ Inclusion Index for its efforts, achievements, and impact in creating an inclusive workplace for our lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender employees, and employees regardless of their gender identity or expression (LGBT+). This is the third consecutive time BNY Mellon has achieved the Gold Standard, having also achieved this honour in both 2017 and 2019. BNY Mellon also ranks as one of the top 10 employers for LBGT+ inclusion in Hong Kong. 

Launched in 2015 by Community Business and held every two years, the Hong Kong LGBT+ Inclusion Index is Asia’s first benchmark on corporate policies and practices for creating inclusive workplaces for LGBT+ employees. BNY Mellon was among the first companies in Hong Kong to participate in the Index in 2015 when we received the Bronze Standard. BNY Mellon’s consecutive Gold ranking since then reflects its sustained efforts and progress in fostering an LGBT+ inclusive workplace.

PRISM recently collaborated on the company's Transgender Guidelines: Gender Transition, Identity and Expression, which is a global suite of resources for managers and employees in support of transgender and broader LGBT+ inclusion.
