Skip to main contentBank of England have been celebrating London Pride 2017, they have been showing their support for the LGBT+ community by proudly flying the rainbow flag above their Threadneedle Street and Debden offices throughout the London Pride weekend (8-9 July 2017) in support of the Bank’s LGBT+ colleagues.
The staff from Bank of England represented the Bank’s LGBT+ Network when marching in the London Pride Parade on Saturday 8th July with friends, family and allies. In order to ensure that the Parade was fully accessible for everyone, Bank of England marched with a Routemaster bus so that those who could not walk in the Parade where not left out from taking part in the celebrations.

In addition to Bank of England’s involvement in the Parade, there were also around 200 people from the public financial sector proudly marching to celebrate Pride and support the LGBT+ community.
In 2015, Bank of England launched their LGBT Allies Network, which encourages individuals to show their support for LGBT colleagues. The Bank’s Allies form part of their LGBT Network, they make a commitment to help create and encourage an inclusive working environment, where LGBT colleagues are able to bring their whole selves to work.
