MANAGING DIRECTOR, HEAD OF DIGITAL, BANK OF AMERICA
As head of digital, Nikki Katz oversees all 54 million of Bank of America’s digital users (which account for nine of the 10 billion interactions for the bank). But she doesn’t consider herself a banker. Rather, the leader of a team of 500 sees herself as a technologist who's bringing innovation to the world of banking. She also believes she has a responsibility to do her job with an eye toward representation and intersectionality. “We owe it to those who are coming up behind us to recognize that we're breaking some stereotypes,” she says.
Katz admits that these last two years have had their share of challenges. In addition to raising two daughters, she shepherded the launch and integration of digital tools, such as goal-setting feature Life Plan, which drew more than five million users in its first year, making it B of A’s most rapidly adopted digital tool ever. —Lydia Dishman
