C&I appoints Anthony Jemmott as Workforce Race Equality Standard Expert
Role demonstrates C&I commitment to the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Hub
As part of our commitment to the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion agenda, I would like to formally welcome Anthony Jemmott the role of Workforce Race Equality Standard (WRES) Expert. WRES seeks to address the lack of senior BME representation in the NHS workforce and Boardrooms and to close the gap between the experience and career progression of BME staff and the workforce as a whole. WRES also promotes a workforce that is representative of the communities it serves, thus enhancing the health outcomes and quality of care for all who use and deliver health and care services.
Anthony brings a wealth of experience to this role and will provide strategic and operational management expertise - developing and leading on policy and strategy for areas of operational management whilst working collaboratively with internal and external partners to support C&I to develop and implement this new initiative.
Anthony successfully completed the NHS England WRES expert programme in its first cohort and will continue to undertake his clinical duties alongside this role.
