Aviva hosts Disability Pride

At Aviva, our Communities are one of the ways we are working to become a more inclusive organisation.

Recently our community supporting people with visible and invisible disabilities (Avivability) and our LGBTQ+ community (Pride) collaborated to host an inspiring event - Disability Pride.

We heard from a varied panel of speakers with disabilities, both those who identified as LGBTQ+ and also allies to the community. They gave their perspectives on living with conditions from cerebral palsy to complex mental health conditions. Making sure to highlight invisible disabilities such as neurodiversity and hearing loss, as well as visible ones.

We believe everyone at Aviva should be able to be themselves.

Creating a diverse, inclusive organisation is a fundamental part of living up to our purpose of being with you today, for a better tomorrow. It means being there for all our people, serving all our customers well, and helping to contribute to fairer, more equal communities.
