The shortlist for the British LGBT Awards 2017 has been announced and Atos’ Jude Satchell-Foley has featured on the Reed Smith Top 10 LGBT+ Inspirational Leaders.
The British LGBT Awards celebrate the UK’s most loved LGBT personalities, innovators and companies. Dubbed the “Gay Oscars” by the press, the awards were the most publicised LGBT event last year.
The British LGBT Awards is designed to showcase individuals and organisations that have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to the LGBT community. We believe that those who go the extra mile to ensure equality, opportunity and fair treatment for all, regardless of sexuality deserve to be recognised.
British LGBT Awards founder Sarah Garrett MBE said: “The 2017 NatWest British LGBT Awards shortlist features inspirational people who have and continue to use their platform to promote and enhance LGBT rights all over the world.
“All nominees are absolutely deserving of their place on the shortlist”.
Jude Satchell-Foley, Global Head of Operations for Application Hosting Services at Atos, has been nominated for the Reed Smith Top 10 LGBT+ Inspirational Leaders for her work to bring LGBT+ rights to the forefront of her organisation. The Inspirational Leaders category is for business leaders who have been encouraging to others and are proven to be a positive role model in their organisation and beyond.
Jude is co-Founder and co-Chair of the AtosPride UK network, and has recently gained executive commitment to develop the AtosPride network globally across the 100,000 employee base. She has two young children with her wife, Lisa.
Atos are a Stonewall Diversity Champion, highlighting their commitment to making the working environment a place that LGBT+ employees can be themselves, driving performance, engagement and innovation. Jude’s work will help LGBT+ employees across the whole of Atos find support and community within the organisation, making this a huge step within inclusion and diversity for Atos.
We wish Jude luck for the 12th May, when the category winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in London, and commend her fantastic work.
