Arcadis: Pride in Action

As we celebrate PRIDE month this June, Arcadis is organizing a number of events that spotlight the issues, challenges and opportunities facing the LGBTQIA+ community around the world. These are important events that provide a further springboard to our PRIDE Global Employee Affinity group’s on-going actions to create an inclusive culture and support the advancement of underrepresented groups. ​

 

 

As a clearly visible act of support to these goals, we are updating our logo for the month of June to reflect the rainbow colors that universally represent the diversity of the LGBTQIA+ community. During June, we hope that by proudly and loudly using this Pride logo both internally and externally, we demonstrate to all Arcadians and the rest of the world, we are one Arcadis where everyone belongs and can thrive. 

 

This PRIDE month, on behalf of Arcadis' Global PRIDE Affinity Group, Griselle Osses, PE shares;

"To the changemakers, the trailblazers, the LGBTQIA+ people in our community, the outspoken allies, and contrarian thinkers, join us for PRIDE in Action. Show up. Stand up. 

On behalf of the Global PRIDE Affinity Group, we are focusing on showing up by amplifying queer voices, especially people who are transgender, nonbinary, and gender expansive. In 2021, more anti-LGBTQ bills were introduced across the US than ever before - bills, and now laws in many states, that prohibit transgender youth from participating in sports with their friends, that criminalize providing gender-affirming health care to trans youth, and that regulate what we can and cannot say in classrooms. Wherever we live, these bills and laws send the message that LGBTQIA+ people, specifically trans youth and trans youth of color, are not enough and do not belong.

 

 

At Arcadis, we know that everyone belongs.

To create a true culture change across Arcadis, let’s show up for inclusive equitable benefits and policies for all Arcadians and their families. Become an active ally and stand up by supporting initiatives that show people they belong. Because you do. We believe that a rising tide lifts all boats – everyone benefits when laws, workplaces and communities support the most vulnerable to discrimination and oppression. And that takes all of us.
