As part of the #aplaceforme campaign, Construction Director at Lendlease, Keith Lovell, who has worked with Lendlease for over 40 years speaks about his experiences.
Lendlease works closely with each of their people in order to understand where they would like their career to go and to help map a career path in order to enable them to achieve these goals. Lendlease also supports its employees with training so that they can decide upon, reach and exceed their own career goals. This helps Lendlease to understand how they can help their employees reach these goals, and how these goals are going to align with Lendlease’s own goals.
Through the Lendlease ‘Inspire’ programme, they prepare individuals for senior executive roles by giving leadership development, experience and networking to those who are interested in progressing. They also give these employees exposure to some of the leaders within Lendlease in order to help them understand what these roles involve and what their experience has been within them. If someone is keen to grow their career within Lendlease, then they are keen to help them.
Keith Lovell, Construction Director said: “You can go from somebody very junior to a very senior position, and my belief is that there are no barriers there.”

Is Lendlease full of opportunity?
Keith believes that getting opportunity at Lendlease is all about attitude and being good enough for a role, he says that age is no barrier to opportunity at Lendlease.
How does Lendlease support its employees?
Keith says that he has been supported by Lendlease throughout his 40-year career with them and that he felt particularly supported during the earlier stages of his career. He also speaks about how he now wants to support others in their careers with Lendlease due to the support he’s received.
What inspires you at Lendlease?
Keith speaks about the people that he has worked with on projects making up the memories of his time at Lendlease and how the relationships that he has built with these individuals within the business have been the foundations of why he has stayed at Lendlease for 40-years.
