Alzheimer's Society named 'Most Admired Charity'

Alzheimer's Society was named 'Most Admired Charity' at the 2015 Third Sector Awards in London.

Commenting on the award, Jeremy Hughes, Chief Executive at Alzheimer's Society, said:
'We are honoured to have won the prestigious award of 'Britain's Most Admired Charity'. I would like to thank all the staff and volunteers at Alzheimer's Society, who work tirelessly to support people affected by dementia.

'We are proud to have already created nearly 1.3 million Dementia Friends, the biggest social action movement to tackle perceptions of dementia, significantly improving the way the nation thinks, talk and acts. Much more work needs to be done and we are committed to leading the fight against dementia. We will continue to work hard to support people affected by dementia, through our services and our investment in research to develop better treatments, reduce risk and ultimately find a cure.'
