On Friday 9th December, Alzheimer’s Society is looking to encourage workmates, schools, families and friends to take part in Elf Day. A day celebrating the wonderfulness of Christmas, whether you simply wear an elf hat or go all-out with your costume, whilst also raising awareness and donations to help defeat dementia.
The word dementia can apply to a set of symptoms that may include: memory loss and difficulties with thinking, problem-solving or language. Dementia is caused when the brain is damaged by diseases, such as Alzheimer’s disease of a series of strokes.
To join in with the festivities, simply request your Elf Day fundraising guide full of inspiration, from posters to sweepstakes, to help you have the best day and raise donations for a very worthy cause this Christmas.
Christmas can be a very lonely time for families living with dementia, but your support could transform their lives and get Alzheimer’s society one step closer to finding a cure.
So, please get involved and help defeat this disorder this year.
