TIPS FOR WORKING FROM HOME

 

Create your own space

Where possible, dedicate a specific area for working. You’ll find it much more productive than working form your bed or sofa – believe us, we’ve tried!

 

Establish a routine

Treat working from home lie you’re in the office. Set up a schedule and maintain it regularly. How? Get up early – your body and brain will thank you!

Forget your pyjamas

Get ready as though you’re going into the office. It helps to get into the mindset and studies have shown that it also increases productivity – save your PJs for the evening!

 

Take breaks and move!

Take short breaks to disconnect and take the opportunity to move around the house or outside where and when possible. Avoid using electronic devices on your breaks.

 

Do you remember your colleagues?

Skype, Microsoft Teams, email – we have lots of digital tools at adidas, Its simple to keep in touch with your colleagues, customers or clients.

 

 

No distractions

There can be a lot of distractions at home, especially with children – we get it. Try to organise your day as best as possible and read some of the external articles in this deck for tips.

 

Plan

Within an established schedule, take breaks, assign yourself tasks and set deadlines to keep yourself focused.

 

And….disconnect

If you usually find it difficult to disconnect from work, working from home can even be more complicated given you’re in the same location. Decide what time you will finish and stick to it. Talk to other people outside of work, exercise and most importantly, relax when you have finished.

Home working can cause work-related stress and affect people’s mental health. Being away from managers and colleagues can make it difficult to get proper support.

Do not suffer alone if you are struggling.
