As a Careers Advisor at York St. John University, no two days are ever the same - which makes my role both exciting and thoroughly rewarding.
This week, I have delivered an introduction to work experience placements to second year English Literature students, a CV and cover letter session to first year Law students and an industrial placement preparation session with Year in Industry students.
I've met with the leadership team from the School of Languages and Linguistics to discuss an exciting event we're planning, have supported 30 native Japanese speakers on interview techniques (both in the UK and internationally) and talked with some fantastic prospective students at the Postgraduate Open Evening.
I've spent this morning with our YSJ representatives in Thailand to produce a promotional video (pictured), and discussed the incredible careers and employability support we provide with representatives from Shandong Foreign Language Vocational College in China.
A fantastic end to a last week!
