We offer a range of family friendly policies:

  • Adoption Leave Policy: This policy applies to all parents, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression. Starbucks Adoption Leave Policy has been created to support employees and encourage an open discussion with those who are adopting a child.
  • Maternity Policy: This policy applies to all birthing parents, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression. It is Starbucks policy to encourage open discussion with all birthing parents to ensure that questions and problems can be resolved as quickly as possible.
  • Paternity Policy: This policy has been created to support employees who wish to take paternity leave and sets out the statutory rights and responsibilities of the employee.
  • Parental Leave Policy: This policy covers all parents regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression. Parental Leave is a government initiative which is designed to support employees who wish to take additional unpaid time off to spend with family.
  • Shared Parental Leave Policy: This policy gives parents additional flexibility in how they care for their new arrival. It allows birthing parents to share the leave with their partner and provides both with the opportunity to consider the best arrangement of care for their child’s first year or the first year following adoption with their partner.
