Capita Ability Network (CAN)

The Capita Ability Network (CAN) is led by and is for colleagues whose lives are affected in any way by disability, including neurodiversity and long-term health conditions. The aim of the group is to remove the stigma surrounding disability in the workplace and provide a supportive place for colleagues to share their experiences and learn from one another. We strive to create better outcomes for all employees with a disability (or long-term health condition), and those who support them, whether personally and professionally.

What do we do?

As a network, we lead by example – sharing personal stories about our own experiences with the wider networks and community at Capita. We’re helping to create a community who can support the development of appropriate interventions and better support employees affected by disabilities. Our network offers a support channel to colleagues and line managers, and we provide education and awareness opportunities across the business.

Meet the team

Our Network Chair is Damien Riley, CEO of Army Recruitment. Damian is registered disabled, a spinal cord injury survivor, and a high-functioning tetraplegic.
