Mental Health and Wellbeing at Brit

At Brit, we are committed to promoting the wellbeing of our people. We offer various wellbeing opportunities from our Mental Health and Wellbeing Group, our health benefits and incentive schemes, and via training opportunities.

Brit's Mental Health and Wellbeing aims are to:

  • Embed a long-term positive culture across the organisation, where employees recognise their mental and physical health are supported equally
  • Reduce stigma, build confidence and encourage open conversations about mental health
  • Raise awareness regarding mental health matters, including the ability for employees and managers to recognise the signs of common mental health issues
  • Empower people with long term mental health issues to thrive in the workplace

Mental Health Awareness Week 2023

A key part of our mental health strategy is normalising conversations about mental health to improve awareness and lessen the stigma.

Throughout May, we’ve hosted several sessions for our colleagues to learn about our mental health benefits and get involved with our Mental Health & Wellbeing Group, as well as sharing opportunities to join our mental health first aider scheme.

Time To Talk Day - 2nd February 2023

Time To Talk Day – run by Mind and Rethink Mental Illness. It’s an opportunity to bring people and communities together to talk about mental health.

In the spirit of the day, several of our Mental Health First Aiders have been volunteering their time to host drop-in sessions in the office throughout the day.

A key part of our mental health strategy is to encourage and normalise conversations about mental health. We’re grateful to our Mental Health First Aiders for facilitating these important discussions today, and throughout the rest of the year.

We endeavour to support employees in the following ways by offering a supportive culture to employees focused on inclusivity and 'living our distinctive ethos' and by providing our employees with opportunities and toolkits to assist you in managing their own financial, mental and physical wellbeing

We also held a People Forum event on Mental Health and Wellbeing which allowed our people to listen from subject matter experts on their experiences and we have partnered with Business in the Community and the Business Disability Forum for support and guidance.

Helen and Patricia recently completed the CHAMPS MHFA training, and are now playing an active role in raising mental health awareness at Ki and ensuring our employees get the right support when they are struggling.

We're so proud to have passionate mental health advocates on our team and to be creating a culture of openness.
