Recruitment Process
Apprenticeship intake dates vary from country to country, but most regions will start recruiting for apprentices between September and December of each year. Apprentices will then join Sage in the following calendar year.
After application, candidates will complete a series of assessments and telephone/video interviews. One of our recruitment team will then contact you to confirm whether you have been shortlisted for assessment centre.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a half or full-day assessment centre at a Sage office site. The assessment centre will normally contain a range of team and individual activities. The assessment centre is also a great opportunity for candidates to find out more about careers at Sage, and the apprenticeship experience.
Case study
Brooke Heywood - PR Apprentice, UK
I finished school in June (when I was 18 years old) and decided to go straight to work in the busy London environment rather than going to university like the majority of my peers. At school, I studied 3 main subjects; Applied Business, Economics and Physical Education. Each of my subjects played an individual part in preparing me for the world of work, whether it be discipline through my sports or time management from prioritising tasks with deadlines.
What Apprenticeship are you undertaking?
I have joined Sage as a Product PR Apprentice, where I am a part of the One Sage Communications Team (a global function). This means that I have exposure to colleagues across the 23 countries that Sage operates in and we work as a team to deliver global projects. So far, I have created a video and social media plan surrounding the hot topic, Artificial Intelligence. Other projects have included attending the House of Commons for Kriti Sharma, VP Artificial Intelligence evidence session, event planning and execution as well as continuously improving my writing skills through various blogs and newsletters.
What is next for you in your apprenticeship?
In the coming months, I hope to continue to work towards my apprenticeship qualification whilst gaining experience and exposure to other teams within Sage, including using my 4 remaining volunteer days with Sage Foundation.
