At Travelport, we look beyond our business objectives and recognize that social responsibility can directly and positively impact the communities in which we live, work and play. We support our employees who are passionate about growing and improving their local communities through volunteering and non-profit fundraising. As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, Travelport offers every employee one full day of paid time off each year to volunteer for a local charity or non-profit of their choice.
When it comes to educating and supporting underrepresented talent in STEM and travel, our internship programs in the UK, Ireland and in the US provide young professionals from diverse backgrounds the knowledge, confidence and hands-on experience needed to foster career growth. Furthermore, every Travelport intern class is encouraged to make a positive impact within their local communities by supporting a local non-profit of their choice through hands-on volunteering and active fundraising as part of their internship.
Our employees have created an entire travel education curriculum to upskill emerging talent coming from outside of the travel industry. The curriculum helps to elevate travel as an attractive industry for young women professionals by highlighting opportunities to expand their talent, advance their skillsets and achieve success.
Travelport’s Global Diversity Council mission is to remove inequity and bias from our key processes and day to day interactions, both internally and externally, to enable us to become a truly diverse workforce and an inclusive place to work.
