Employee Networks at Springer Nature

At Springer Nature, diversity, equity and inclusion are at the core of how we work and who we are. Working towards a more inclusive workplace creates opportunities and allows our people to perform at their best. We also want our people to feel empowered to generate ideas and see progress on topics that matter to them and the organisation, to improve our workplace for the benefit of us all.

Our employee networks focus on fostering dialogue around diversity, community building, advice, advocacy and sustainability. Our networks unite people who share an identity – like being a member of the LGBTQ+ community, a person with a disability or a parent – with those who support them and who want to learn more about their perspectives and experiences. The Green Office Network also bring colleagues together to take action around a common interest;reducing our environmental impact.

Our employee networks unite colleagues who share an identity with those who support them and who want to learn more about their perspectives and experiences. The networks — with more than 1,400 members — focus on building connections between colleagues, raising awareness on important topics, consulting on business initiatives and advocating for their communities at Springer Nature and beyond. In 2021, our networks organised over 50 events and shared over 75 blog posts.

We support network projects and events with a robust governance structure, sponsorship by senior leaders and advice and resources from the DEI team.
