What conversations have come out of your initial meetings?
“We want to open Reach's doors to those from disadvantaged backgrounds, showing that a media career is open to them. It's all about championing their experiences and values and the benefits of those for Reach (through the stories we tell and the audience we reach). “Internally it's about providing staff from disadvantaged backgrounds with the support and skills they need to reach their potential within the business. “We want there to be a company-wide understanding of what social mobility is, why it matters to Reach and what we can do to improve it. We want our workplace and internal culture to allow those from disadvantaged backgrounds to develop their careers in an environment where their background (education, status, money, location), is not a barrier to productivity and success.”
