Corporate Social Responsibility at CityFibre

CSR is more than just a responsibility at CityFibre, it is integral to building a culture of awareness and community among our people and in the towns and cities where we work and build.

As well as co-ordinating regular national and regional fundraising activities for nominated charities, we give all CityFibre employees one day off each year to support a cause that is important to them personally. Later in 2020 we also expect to launch our new ‘give as you earn’ initiative. 

As we ramp up our physical presence across the UK, we are empowering our city teams to deliver more and more help into the community where and when it matters most. This has resulted in CityFibre supporting a lengthy list of charitable activities so far, with recent examples including:

• Local Authority and community educational activities in Aberdeen and Yorkshire to mentor mature members of the population on internet use and safety online
• Sponsorship of child safety initiatives and coding events for youngsters
• Support for Cambridgeshire’s “Inspire your city” initiative – encouraging entrepreneurship among children
• Community clean-ups / litter picking and homeless charity support – including meal provision and sponsored sleepovers
• Providing free connectivity to test safeguarding IoT technology for vulnerable citizens.
