Charity & Community at Moneysupermarket Group

We actively champion partner charities as well as support the communities that we operate in. It's a core part of who we are with lots of activity focused on fundraising and volunteering. Whether it's scaling volcanos in Ecaudor, running a half marathon, supporting our raffles, baking cakes to sell or cycling from London to Paris, there's something for everyone to get involved with.  

The Prince's Trust

We are in the third year of a very valued partnership with the Prince’s Trust, a charity focused on improving the financial and mental wellbeing of young people in the UK.  We’ve managed to donate over £200,000 to them during that time.

​​​​​​​Alongside our fundraising efforts we also volunteer time to run workshops to help young people develop the skills they need to boost their future careers.

The pandemic has obviously made this year’s fundraising more challenging but we’ve managed to find innovative participation – in spring of this year, 95 colleagues took part in a virtual step challenge, raising £14,000. We’re committed to supporting them through this incredibly difficult time and working with them to improve the lives of young people.

Community Support

Launched in 2008, our .community initiative focuses on supporting charities and community groups local to our offices in Ewloe, Manchester and London. In the past eighteen months alone we made £75,000 available for the .community initiative, with funding channelled through the Charities Aid Foundation to allow the Group to make gross donations to registered charities.

Donations are allocated to good causes by our .Community employee resource group, and they've helped fund food banks, homeless shelters and family refuges as well as books for schools and sports equipment for local clubs.  More recently, we’ve supported a charity ‘Raspberry Pi’ to supply working laptops and broadband access to 50 struggling families attempting to home-school without tech access during the pandemic.

The MSE Charity

The MSE Charity was set up by Martin Lewis OBE, founder of MoneySavingExpert, in 2008. It's dedicated to improving information and education about debt, money and consumer issues in the UK. 

The charity gives grants of up to £7,500 to UK not-for-profit grassroot organisations that deliver activities which will make a lasting impact on how people think, behave and manage their money.

Bytes in Partnership with Nanny Biscuit

We're very lucky, in our Ewloe office, to have the amazing Bytes team who cook up a storm for our colleagues at breakfast and lunch. The food is SERIOUSLY good - any excuse to visit Ewloe! When the pandemic hit, and our colleagues began working from home, the Bytes team came up with the fantastic idea of supporting our local community by providing meals to people who need them. 

Since June 2020 they have now made 37,000 meals for homeless, elderly & vulnerable people in our community, working alongside local charity, Nanny Biscuit. As we start returning to the office we will continue to work with Nanny Biscuit - so watch this space!
