About
As part of its work conducting research into women’s issues, this management-consulting firm recently explored the need for businesses to foster inclusion, engage senior women and offer paid family leave. What it found prompted internal changes, motivating leaders to appoint a director of diversity recruiting, educate managers about unconscious bias, launch mentoring for women partners, and increase paid maternity leave to 16 weeks. Female consultants (no doubt pleased by the changes) have doubled their presence here since 2011; the employer pays them well and allows them to adopt flexible career paths, work part-time and take eight-week leaves of absence.
