Job Purpose:
Raises and maintains the status of quality in the organization and enables a company to promote itself as one that provides quality goods and services. Involves Total Quality Management (TQM) programs and the development of standard procedures in accordance with GSK standards and cGMP Regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervises a team of 4 to 10 laboratory technicians (train and develop the team; plan, prioritize and control laboratory activities; and proactively anticipates resource needs.
  • Guarantees good communication within the team and with the management.
  • Guarantees the application and maintenance of the c'GMP ( e.g.: SOP, Documentation, Audits, training, method validation).
  • Assures the efficiency of Quality Control (quality, delay, results interpretation, KPI) and releases results of tests conducted in his /her laboratory.
  • Assures the success of new methods transferred in his/her team.
  • Is an expert in tests for which s/he is responsible (must have in-depth understanding of scientific foundations and practical aspects) and participates in working groups in his/her field of competency (inside and outside GSK).
  • Proactively proposes testing improvement in the frame of his/her laboratory and guarantees the appropriate review of the scientific knowledge in his /her field.
  • Recognized as an expert by control Authorities, s/he provides analytical information in his/her field of competencies to national authorities and provides support to other GSK Bio Department ( Manufacturing, RA,..).
  • Manages Critical Deviation and investigation. Leads task force for solving QC issues
  • May play the role of QC product coordinator. DISTINGUISHING CRITERIA AS COMPARED TO SUPERVISOR, QC LAB (D03) .
  • Is recognized as an expert by control Authorities.
  • Participates in working groups as an expert in testing.
  • Manages critical deviation and investigation, and leads task force for solving QC issues.
  • Anticipates the need of resources in his/her team.
  • May play the role of QC product coordinator.

Why You?
Basic Qualifications:

Scientific university certificate or equivalent scientific background.

Practical and theoretical knowledge in the domain of laboratory activity (eg. Biochemistry, Virology,...).

At least 5 years of experience in the field.

Experience in people management.

Fluent in spoken and written English.
